Use UnitPulse in Claude

The UnitPulse connector lets Claude use your UnitPulse account while you chat. Paste a job posting or a link, and Claude can ask UnitPulse to score it, look through the jobs you’ve already checked, see how well your CV fits, and pull together the facts you need for a proposal.

UnitPulse supplies the facts; Claude does the writing. Scores come from the same evidence-based checks as the extension and the web app, with no AI in the scoring, so a job gets the same score whichever way you check it.

You sign in with your UnitPulse account and choose what Claude may do. Claude never sees your UnitPulse password.

• A UnitPulse account. The free plan works, and you can create one during setup if you don’t have one yet.
• A Claude plan that lets you add custom connectors. If you use Claude through a work or team account and don’t see the option, ask whoever manages it.

1. In Claude, open Settings → Connectors.
2. Choose Add custom connector.
3. Name it UnitPulse and paste this address as the connector URL:https://api.unitpulse.io/mcp
4. Select Connect. A UnitPulse page opens in your browser.
5. Sign in to UnitPulse, or create an account. Either way you come straight back to this step.
6. Check what Claude is asking for and select Allow. You’re sent back to Claude, and UnitPulse shows as connected.

To use it, make sure UnitPulse is switched on in the chat’s tools menu, then ask a question like the ones below. Mentioning “UnitPulse” in your message helps Claude pick the right tool.

The UnitPulse sign-in page lists exactly what Claude is asking for. In plain words:

• Scan and score jobsUses credits

  Analyze a job you paste or link, and score it. Uses your monthly analysis credits.

• Read your scanned jobs

  See the jobs you have analyzed and their scores.

• Read your résumés

  Match your uploaded résumés against a job.

• Read your job-match profile

  Score a job against your connected profile.

  See who likely posted a job and what they want.

That’s all Claude can do. It can’t change your account, plan, billing or password, and it can’t delete anything.

The connector gives Claude eight tools. You don’t need to name them; Claude picks the right one.

• analyze_jobScores a job you paste or link: its authenticity score, verdict and sub-scores. A new analysis uses one credit.
• list_jobsLists the jobs you’ve analyzed, with their scores and verdicts.
• get_reportOpens one report: the score, the verdict and the best way to apply.
• match_cvChecks how well your active CV, or one you name, matches a report’s job: matched and missing keywords, plus tips.
• get_client_intelShows who likely posted a job and what they’re after. Available for Upwork postings.
• get_proposal_briefGathers the facts for a proposal (job summary, client details, your best-matching CV and its gaps) for Claude to write from.
• get_profileReads your connected job-match profile: title, summary and skills.
• list_cvsLists your résumés and shows which one is active.

These work with the UnitPulse connector on its own:

• Score this job posting for authenticity: <paste the job text>
• Show my last 5 UnitPulse reports and which ones look risky
• How well does my CV match report <id>?
• Give me the proposal facts for report <id> and draft a cover letter
• Should I apply to the job in report <id>? Use the score, the client details and my CV match.

You don’t need to look up report ids yourself. Ask Claude to list your reports first, or refer to “the job you just scored”.

• Each new analysis uses one monthly analysis credit, from the same allowance as the extension and the web app.
• Repeating the same scan within 7 days is free.
• Everything else (reading your reports, CV matches, client details, your profile and proposal facts) doesn’t use credits.

• What UnitPulse receives from Claude: only what Claude sends when it uses a tool, which is the job text and links you ask it to check, plus report or CV ids. Nothing else from your chat.
• What UnitPulse sends back: scores, verdicts, report details, client details, CV match results and your profile and CV summaries, all from your own account and only within what you allowed.
• Where results go: into your Claude conversation, which Anthropic hosts under its own terms and privacy policy.
• How long we keep it: jobs you analyze through Claude are saved to your UnitPulse account like any other report, and kept the same way: until you delete them or your account.
• What we never see: UnitPulse never reads your Claude chat history, your other conversations or Claude’s memory.

• In UnitPulse: go to Settings → Connected apps and select Disconnect next to Claude. Claude loses access straight away.
• In Claude: open Settings → Connectors and remove UnitPulse. To also cancel the access UnitPulse gave Claude, disconnect it in UnitPulse as well.

Deleting your UnitPulse account disconnects every connected app.
