What is UnitPulse?

UnitPulse checks whether a job posting is real before you apply. It scores LinkedIn, Indeed and Upwork jobs from 0 to 100 using checks on the company, the person who posted the job, the listing itself and known scam patterns, and shows the evidence for every point. It also matches your résumé against each job.

Is the score generated by AI?

Accepted Answer

No. UnitPulse uses fixed signals with fixed weights and a versioned formula, so the same job always gets the same score. Every point links to the evidence that produced it. There is no AI anywhere in the scoring or the ATS match.

Does a red score mean a job is a scam?

Accepted Answer

It means UnitPulse found strong risk signals, and each one is shown with its evidence. UnitPulse reports likelihood, never accusations. Read the evidence and make the call yourself.

Why did a job I know is real get an amber or low score?

Accepted Answer

Usually because there wasn’t enough evidence to confirm it: a very new domain, no named poster, a company that doesn’t use a hiring system UnitPulse can check, or a listing with no salary and little detail. Check the confidence grade and the Evidence tab. A low-confidence score is a prompt to look closer, not a verdict.

What’s the difference between the instant badge and a full analysis?

Accepted Answer

The instant badge is a free preview calculated from what’s on the page, and it’s unlimited. A full analysis goes further: it checks domain and business records, the company’s own careers board, the poster’s public profiles and copies of the listing online. A full analysis uses one credit from your monthly allowance.

What does the confidence grade (A–D) mean?

It shows how many checks could be answered for that job. A means most checks returned evidence. D means too little could be verified to rely on the score. A high score with a D grade deserves a second look.

A report mentions my company or me. How do I ask for a correction?

Accepted Answer

Reports show public evidence, not accusations, and they’re only visible to the person who ran them. If you believe a finding is wrong or want information about you reviewed, email help@unitpulse.io with the job link and what you’d like checked.

Do I need the Chrome extension?

For LinkedIn, Indeed and Upwork, yes. Those sites only show full job details to signed-in visitors, so UnitPulse can’t read them from a pasted link. The extension reads the job in your own browser. For other sites, you can paste a job link or the job text into the web app.

Which job sites are supported?

LinkedIn, Indeed and Upwork are live. Wellfound and Glassdoor are in beta, and Fiverr and Freelancer are coming next.

Which browsers does the extension work in?

Accepted Answer

Google Chrome. Most Chromium-based browsers, such as Microsoft Edge and Brave, can also install extensions from the Chrome Web Store. Firefox and Safari aren’t supported yet.

What can the extension see?

Only the job page you’re viewing on a supported site. It never reads your messages, connections, profile or browsing history, never runs in the background across the web, and never automates anything on your accounts.

The badge isn’t showing on a job page. What should I check?

Accepted Answer

Make sure you’re signed in to the extension, that the job board is one of your active platforms (you can see them in the extension’s popup), and refresh the page. The badge appears once the job has loaded.

How do I sign in to the extension?

Click the UnitPulse icon in your toolbar and choose Sign in. The web app opens in a new tab. Once you sign in there, the extension connects automatically.

How does the ATS match work?

Mark one CV as active. On every job, UnitPulse pulls out the skills and title keywords an applicant tracking system screens for, then shows which ones your CV covers and which are missing, with a percentage and an A–D grade.

Does checking my ATS match use an analysis credit?

No. The ATS tab in the extension and the standalone ATS checker in the web app are free on every plan.

Will UnitPulse rewrite my résumé?

No. It shows what’s missing and leaves the writing to you. Only add skills you really have.

How many CVs can I keep?

Free 1, Basic 5, Professional 25 and Enterprise unlimited. Uploaded and built CVs count toward the same limit.

Is there a free plan?

Yes, and it doesn’t need a credit card. The free plan includes unlimited instant badges, 10 full analyses a month on 1 job board, and 1 CV with ATS matching.

What counts as an analysis?

One full analysis of one job: the company, poster, scam and cross-platform checks, with the full report. Instant badges and ATS matches never count.

Question 20

Does re-checking the same job use another analysis?

Accepted Answer

Not within 7 days. If the same job was analyzed recently, UnitPulse reuses that result and doesn’t charge a credit.

Question 21

When do my analyses reset, and do unused ones roll over?

Accepted Answer

Your allowance resets at the start of each billing cycle. Unused analyses don’t roll over. The allowance is shared between the extension and the web app.

What are platform slots?

Each plan lets you activate a number of job boards: Free 1, Basic 3, Professional 6, and every platform on Enterprise. Only your active platforms are scored in the extension.

Can I switch platforms?

Accepted Answer

Yes, as long as you haven’t analyzed a job on that platform this billing cycle. A platform you’ve used stays active until your next renewal, so limits can’t be worked around by rotating. Unused platforms can be swapped any time.

Can I add one more platform without upgrading?

Yes. On Basic and Professional, each extra platform is $10 a month and activates right away.

Is annual billing cheaper?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Paying annually saves 15% on every paid plan. For example, Basic is $25 a month or $255 a year.

Can I cancel or downgrade any time?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Cancellations and downgrades take effect at the end of the period you’ve paid for, and you keep your current plan until then. After that, your account moves to the new plan (or Free), and platforms or CVs above its limits may be turned off. Nothing is deleted.

Do you offer refunds?

Yes. If you’re not happy with a paid plan, email help@unitpulse.io within 14 days of being charged and we’ll refund that charge in full. After 14 days, payments aren’t refundable except where the law requires.

What’s the difference between Basic, Professional and Enterprise?

Basic ($25/mo) is for an active job search: 3 platforms and 150 analyses. Professional ($49/mo) adds contact and best-route intelligence, 6 platforms and 600 analyses. Enterprise ($199/mo) is for teams: every platform, 3,000 pooled analyses and 5 seats.

Can my team share an account?

Enterprise includes 5 seats with a pooled allowance, and extra seats are $40 a month each. Basic and Professional are for one person.

Do you sell my data?

No. We never sell your data, never use it for advertising, and never share it with third parties for their own purposes.

Who can see my reports and CVs?

Accepted Answer

Only you. Your CVs are used only to calculate your own ATS matches. Job analysis results for a public posting may be reused to answer the same job for another user within 7 days, but your identity, CVs and feedback are never shared.

Can I delete my account?

Yes. Go to Profile in the web app and choose Delete account. Your reports, feedback, CVs, connected Upwork credentials and sessions are permanently deleted.

Can I turn on two-factor authentication?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can turn on authenticator-app 2FA in the web app, and you’ll get recovery codes in case you lose your device. You can also sign in with Google, Microsoft or Apple.
